| The FC IYA is the eponymic club of iya Traoré who wished to share with this club what the football and the life offered him. The club was created to bring together young people to move together toward a common goal.
The club was created in 2006 without using any sponsor.
Settled to Matoto, a popular suburb of Conakry, the capital of Guinea, iya tempts with little of means which he has, to offer the conditions necessary for the learning of the football.
Too often on the African continent, the setting-up of a club of football is not made from pre-existent sports equipments. It adapts itself to the urban geography and becomes established where he can it.
To Matoto, the local authorities and the people are proud of their club FC IYA and what it sends to young people through the universal values conveyed by football.
Therefore, regardless of the quality of land and facilities available, the passion for the game and the desire to learn prevail.
In 2008, the club is in the Guinean football league in 3rd Division. It welcomes young people of all nationalities, from 8 to 28 years.
